Order samples before you commit to a white-label run.
Confirm texture, finish and packaging with a sample before you start a full order. Sample orders run through the DAT Supply portal — order in your client workspace, pay, and we ship. Ready kits and development samples both flow through the same controlled process.

A sample is a step in the order journey, not a giveaway. It confirms the format and finish before a full white-label run.
Sample orders are placed and paid for inside the DAT Supply portal, then shipped — the same controlled workflow as a production order.
Three ways to sample
From ready kits to development samples — chosen against where your project sits.
Ready sample kits
Curated kits of reviewed catalogue formats — handy for evaluating texture, finish and packaging before committing to an order.
Best for confirming a catalogue formula and format quickly.
Custom / development samples
Samples produced toward a semi-custom or custom brief, once the direction has been agreed. Scope and feasibility are reviewed before any development sample is produced.
Best when the catalogue is close but not exact, or the concept is bespoke.
Feasibility route
For concepts that need review before a physical sample makes sense, the project starts as a feasibility review — format, active selection and target-market positioning — then moves to samples when ready.
Best for early-stage or complex briefs.
How a sample order works in the portal
Sample orders move through your client workspace — the same place your production order will live.

Open your workspace
Sign in to the DAT Supply portal and go to your samples area.
- 02
Choose samples
Select ready sample kits, or request development samples against an agreed brief.
- 03
Order in /app/samples
Place the sample order inside your client workspace.
- 04

Sample orders are paid for in the portal, like any other order.
- 05

- 06
Move to an order
Once the format and finish are confirmed, move to an order.
What happens after samples
Samples confirm the format, finish and packaging direction. The expected next step is an order — your brand on the reviewed formula, briefed inside the same client workspace, with documentation moving through each gate by stage.
Sample questions
- How do I order samples?
- Sample orders are placed inside the DAT Supply portal. Sign in to your client workspace, choose ready sample kits or request development samples, then order and pay — we ship from there.
- What is the difference between a ready kit and a development sample?
- Ready kits are curated samples of reviewed catalogue formats. Development samples are produced toward a semi-custom or custom brief, once scope and feasibility have been reviewed.
- Do I have to start a full order to get samples?
- No. Samples are a step before the full order. They let you confirm the format and finish first, then move to an order when you are ready.
- What happens after I receive samples?
- The expected next step is an order — your brand on the reviewed formula, briefed inside the same client workspace.
